Prehistoric people probably used shells, or small pieces of wood as spoons as both theGreek and Latin words for spoon come from the wordcochlea, which is a spiral-shaped snail shell. Our spoon pin is hand cast in solid, lead-free pewter and then dipped in 22K gold. The utensil pins have a US made, military style clasp back to keep your pin secure on a coat, hat, or bag. All cutlery pins arrive packaged on our signature presentation cards, making them ready for gift-giving!
